Member Spotlight: Jillian Rohlfs

Meet Jillian Rohlfs, one of our bright young actors who has been lighting up the stage with Center Stage Jackson since 2019!

Jillian’s very first role was as a pig in Peter Pan (2019) – a memory that may be a little fuzzy now, but one that marked the beginning of her theater journey. She’s since taken on a variety of fun characters, including a mischievous cat in The Enchanted Bookshop (2022). “I remember being excited about being in every scene,” she says, “because I was the owner’s cat in the bookshop!”

Of all her roles so far, Jillian says her favorite was playing Tweedledee, especially because her best friend played Tweedledum. “I enjoyed doing the show with her,” she shares, reflecting on how theatre has become a space for both creativity and connection.

Up next, you can catch Jillian on stage in Center Stage Jackson’s Youth Theatre production of Young Sherlock this November 14-16, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson. She’ll be playing Carlotta, a spirited and witty classmate who finds herself tangled in Sherlock’s first big mystery. Young Sherlock is a clever, funny, and mystery-filled adventure that imagines the world’s most famous detective as a teenager – solving crimes, cracking codes, and discovering the power of observation (and friendship) along the way.

When asked about her dream role, Jillian lights up at the idea of performing in a Disney musical – either as a princess or a fun sidekick. She’s also drawn to comedies like The Play That Goes Wrong: “Anything funny!” she says.

For Jillian, community theatre is about more than performing – it’s about confidence and connection. “I like meeting new people, making new friends, and getting the opportunity to talk in front of people without being scared or nervous.”

We can’t wait to see what stage adventures await Jillian next – and we’re cheering her on as she brings Young Sherlock to life this November!
