Letter from the Editor
It’s been such a fun and full season for theatre in Jackson!
Over the past few months, audiences have packed school auditoriums, cabaret spaces, and theatres across town for productions like The Music Man, Anastasia, Hello, Dolly! and local cabarets like Music Notes’ #NoFilter Cabaret: Therapy 101. There are a lot of people creating right now and it’s exciting to see!
We have recently had both celebration and disappointment for us at CSJ.
We had a great run of Raise Our Voices at The Theodore, our first cabaret in that space. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the show, our performers, and local theatre in Jackson.
We also had to make the difficult decision to cancel our summer show, Disaster! The Musical, due to limited audition turnout. Those decisions are never easy to make… We’re especially grateful to the people who auditioned and volunteered their time.
As we move forward, we’re focusing our energy on the productions ahead. This includes The Guys this September and The Wizard of Oz this fall.
Thank you for continuing to support community theatre here in Jackson – not just CSJ, but all of the people and organizations working hard to keep live performance alive in our community.

Thank You for Supporting Raise Our Voices
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Raise Our Voices at The Theodore. This was our first full production in the venue, and we were so grateful to see audiences embrace the space, the performers, and the experience of live local theatre together. We have something fun planned for this space again later this year… Details to come!
Thank you to our cast, crew, volunteers, and audiences for making the show possible.

Coming This Fall: The Guys
September 10–13, 2026

This September, Center Stage Jackson will present The Guys by Anne Nelson in recognition of the 25th anniversary of 9/11.
The play follows a fire captain and a writer working together to compose eulogies for firefighters lost in the attacks. It’s an intimate story centered on grief, memory, and connection.
This production will serve as a benefit show, with all proceeds going directly back to first responders in Jackson. You can also stop by and say hello to us at the upcoming Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk on May 16 at Cascades.
