A Note from Center Stage Jackson
A few weeks ago we closed the curtain on The Play That Goes Wrong, (directed by Diego Febres-Cordero) and what a ride it was. From collapsing set pieces to perfectly timed chaos, the cast and crew embraced every moment – and our audiences showed up ready to laugh with us. Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, built sets, or supported the production. Community theatre only happens because of community.
Next up, our Youth Theatre cast takes the stage with Twinderella. Watching young performers discover their confidence and creativity on stage is one of the most rewarding parts of our season, and this cast has been working incredibly hard. Find more details about this show below.
As we head into spring, we’re preparing for next month’s cabaret and a few additional announcements we’re excited to share soon. Stay tuned – there are exciting things ahead for our Center Stage Jackson community.
And if you have a moment, please take our short community survey at the end of this newsletter. Your feedback helps shape the future of CSJ.
Warmly,
Jaime Lawrence

What if Cinderella had… a twin brother?
Center Stage Jackson’s Youth Theatre presents Twinderella, a playful twist on the classic fairy tale. Cinderella dreams of the royal ball while her twin brother Bob would rather be on the baseball field. When their stories collide, fairy tale chaos – and plenty of laughs – follow. Come support these talented young performers as they bring this fun story to life.

We are also beginning planning for our fall musical, The Wizard of Oz. Families and performers interested in participating on stage or behind the scenes are encouraged to watch for upcoming announcements. Community theatre thrives because of the artists and volunteers who step forward to create it. Get involved with CSJ – we welcome you!

Member Spotlight: Matt Sneyd
This month we’re featuring Matt Sneyd, who first joined Center Stage Jackson as Technical Director for Hello, Dolly! in 2024 after being away from theatre since high school. Since then, he has continued building his skills behind the scenes, including leading the set build for The Full Monty in 2025.
Matt became a CSJ member in 2025 and joined the Board in 2026. In the full spotlight, he shares what brought him back to theatre and the show he hopes to help build someday.
